Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you return, the browser sends the file back, which lets the site recognise the same visitor across pages and visits. Cookies cannot execute programs and cannot read files on your device.

Browsers also offer related storage mechanisms — most relevantly local storage, which keeps small values on your device until you or the site removes them, and is not sent to a server automatically. This policy covers both, because they raise the same question: what is being kept, and can you remove it? Where we write “cookies” below, we mean cookies and equivalent browser storage.

2. How We Use Cookies

This website describes our cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering services and invites you to contact us by email. It hosts no user accounts, checkout, or customer portal, so our use of storage is limited to two purposes:

• To remember the choice you make in the cookie notice, so it is not shown to you on every page.
• To keep the site available and secure — for example, protections applied by our hosting provider at the network level.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share cookie data with brokers or ad networks. If you write to us at [email protected], that correspondence is handled under our Privacy Policy, not through cookies.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to load and stay available. They come from our hosting and content delivery infrastructure and serve technical functions such as routing requests to a healthy server, mitigating abusive traffic, and balancing load. They carry no marketing value and cannot be switched off from within the site. Where such cookies are set, they are session-based or short-lived.

Preferences

One preference value is stored on this site: your answer to the cookie notice. It is written to your browser's local storage under the key aetherstack-cookie-consent with a value of accept or decline. It holds no identifier, no email address, and nothing about your visit — only which button you pressed. It stays on your device until you clear the site's storage.

Analytics

We do not currently run analytics or measurement cookies on this website. There is no Google Analytics tag, no product analytics SDK, and no advertising pixel in the pages you are reading. Should we introduce measurement in future, we will describe the tool and its purpose here before it goes live.

4. Your Consent Choices

On your first visit, a notice appears near the bottom of the screen with two buttons, Accept and Decline. Whichever you press, the site records your answer in local storage under aetherstack-cookie-consent and hides the notice. Because no analytics or advertising trackers run here, both answers currently produce the same technical behaviour — the difference is that your preference is recorded and the notice stops appearing.

The notice has no built-in “change my mind” control, so to reverse your choice you clear this site's storage in your browser. In most desktop browsers you can open the site information menu next to the address bar and delete cookies and site data for this site; developer tools also let you remove the single key under Application or Storage. Once the key is gone, the notice reappears on your next visit and you can answer again.

Declining does not restrict your access. Every page, document, and contact link on this site works the same either way.

5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Independently of our notice, your browser lets you view what a site has stored, delete it for one site or all sites, block third-party cookies, and clear storage automatically when you close the browser.

• Chrome — under Settings, in the privacy and security section, look for cookies and other site data, and for the tool that shows data stored per site.
• Safari — under Settings (or Preferences), the Privacy tab holds tracking prevention and a control for managing website data. On iOS the equivalent lives in the system Settings app under Safari.
• Firefox — under Settings, the Privacy & Security panel covers cookies and site data, the blocking level, and clearing data on close.
• Edge — under Settings, the cookies and site permissions section lists stored data per site and the options for blocking or removing it.

Menu names shift between versions, so search your browser's settings for “cookies” rather than relying on an exact path. Blocking all cookies globally can break sign-ins and carts on other sites; on this one it has no effect beyond the notice reappearing each visit.

6. Third-Party Cookies

Two Google services are involved in delivering these pages. The first is Google Fonts, which serves the Inter typeface used across the site. Your browser requests the font files from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, so Google receives the metadata any web request carries, including your IP address and user agent. Google states that it does not set cookies on font requests and does not use them for advertising profiling.

The second is the Google Maps frame in the contact section of our home page, which shows the location of our office. It loads only when you scroll down to it. Unlike the font request, that frame may set Google's own cookies on your device and is processed under Google's policies, which we do not control. Skipping the map, or blocking Google's domains, leaves the rest of the page working normally.

Apart from those two, we embed no analytics scripts, social plugins, video players, chat widgets, or advertising tags.

To avoid the font request entirely, block those two domains at the browser or network level; the site falls back to a system typeface and remains fully readable.

7. Updates to This Policy

We revise this policy whenever the site's technical setup changes — for example, if we add analytics, embed a form, or introduce a customer portal. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and the current version always lives at this address. Material changes to what we store will be reflected here before the change takes effect.
